A very big thank you to our gift wrapping elves that spent 3.5 hours on Sunday getting presents wrapped for our 60 kids coming this Saturday from Shelter Inc.! And another thanks to all of our staff members that helped with decorations of all the schools this week. Our schools look so festive and ready for the holidays!

We have so much going on at East West this week! It's one of the most exciting weeks of the year for us in the Bok Fu Do system.

Here are the important things to remember:

1. Grandmaster Huang will be at our schools teaching seminars starting this Friday, December 13th! Although some seminars are rank specific, there is one seminar that anyone can attend, regardless of rank. It is a very rare opportunity to work with a world renowned Grandmaster, so don't miss this chance!

2. This Saturday, December 14th, is our annual holiday party for underprivileged children. We have been hosting this event since our organization's creation in 1967 and it is very near and dear to our hearts. We have 60 kids and their families coming from Shelter Inc on Saturday and we'll be providing them with a demonstration, arts and crafts, a turkey dinner as well as gifts for each child. The support of our East West community has been amazing over the years and we sincerely thank each of you that have contributed. We are still looking for food donations. If you're able to help, please sign up at any of our schools!

3. Due to Grand-master Huang's seminars as well as the party of Saturday, there will be no classes starting at 5:00 pm on Friday and all day Saturday. Classes will resume as normal on Monday. Thank you for your understanding!

4. Stay tuned this week and next for some exciting things coming up at the end of this year. We will be doing our 12 days of Bok Fu Spirit again starting on December 20th (more info on that later this week)! We'll also be unveiling our 2014 calendar of events along with some fantastic changes to the current schedules at all 3 schools, to help make our classes even better for the new year! And finally, if you're looking for a perfect gift for friends or family this holiday season, give them the gift of self defense, fitness and health through Bok Fu Do! Our Introductory Private Lesson package will be discounted for all of our current students on our pro shop this week as well.
