DIY Workout #2

800 Meter Run (approx 1/2 mile)

On the minute every minute for 10 minutes:

  • 10 HS Squats
  • 10 Wheel Kick Balance (each leg)
  • 10 Sit ups with double cross punches

Another 800 Meter Run

Notes: In case there is confusion, here is what you will do. First run 800 Meters (if you are at the Alamo school, start directly outside the front door on the street, run down the fire lane and once you pass Safeway a little ways up you will see a spray painted line with an 8 on the right hand side of the street, turn around there and come back. That’s 800 meters). Come inside and start a running clock. Every minute on the minute do the series of exercises above. Do them at the start of each minute of the running 10 minute clock. Once you finish all 10 sets, do one more 800 Meter run. Congratulations, at the end of your workout you will have run 1 mile, done 100 HS Squats, 200 wheel kicks (100 each leg), and 100 sit ups!

Another Note: Modification: For those of you that are unable to run, pick one of the forms in your belt (a medium length form) and do it all of 5 times in a row, no breaks. That will count for your 800M run. San Ramon run: If you are doing the 800M at the San Ramon school, start at the mailboxes, take left and run to the end of the lane. Take another left and follow the road until the first big tree on the right hand side. You will see a spray painted white line. Turn around there and come back. That’s 400 M. Do it twice for 800M.
