What an incredible weekend! Grand-master Richard Lee’s West Coast team had a fantastic showing at the us international Kuoshu championships in Baltimore and won the Wang Cheuh-Jen Grand Championship trophy for an unprecedented 11th year in a row! There were so many exciting moments this weekend, that it would be nearly impossible to recap them all. However, probably the most significant took place on Sunday evening at the banquet following the tournament. Master Buckley was inducted into the extremely prestigious USKSF hall of fame. I know i speak for all of us that were present when I say that it was an incredibly moving acceptance speech and we were all so proud to be able to call Master Buckley our teacher!
Thank you to everyone that took part in this tournament. Whether you competed, came as a spectator, were sending positive chi from home, or a staff member that helped support the team with coverage while we were away, thank you for your efforts!
What was your favorite memory from the weekend? Please post to comments.
