12th Day of 12 Days of Bok Fu Spirit….Goodbye 2012!

It has been another incredible year at east west! Every year i always wonder how in the world we are going to top the previous year, but somehow we always seem to do it. This year was no exception! between all of our great events during the year, lots of new staff members, winning the nationals for a 12th year in a row, taking gold in Malaysia at the world tournament and bringing by far our largest team ever, and 3 new and fantastic black belt women, I can’t imagine how much more we could have packed into 365 days! Thank you to everyone that was a part of our success this year and grew with us in 2012. we can’t wait to see the progress from all of our students in the upcoming year and continuing our amazing traditions of Bok Fu Do! Enjoy your new year celebrations and we can’t wait to see you back on the mat in 2013!

Our 12 days of Bok Fu spirit has come to a close. Thank you to everyone that participated, whether you posted your acts or not. Hopefully our group made a positive impact on the lives of those around us over the last 12 days. I know that I personally got much more back than I gave! for my final act of kindness, I decided it would be towards myself. Many times we spend so much time trying to take care of others that we forget to be kind to ourselves. I spent 1 hour alone, with a notebook and pen, and took the time to write down all of the wonderful things that happened in my life in 2012. Rather than focusing on where I want to be and what I want to accomplish on 2013 (although I have done that over the past couple weeks), I made time to look back and remember all that I accomplished in the previous year. It was definitely time well spent and I was thankful that I took the time to be kind to myself in our final day of the year!

Have a very safe and Happy New Year celebration!
